Design and Technology Expo
The Design and Technology Expo is in itself an event running in its third year. Organised by the DTLC, Department of Education, the Expo will join forces with MRO this year to brings together Students from local schools studying Design and Technology, their innovative product design projects, electronics, graphics, projects with bespoke materials, and a number of hands on design and make challenges.
D&T Expo brings a ‘maker’ aspect to the MRO where the public is also invited to try out interactive practical activities along with demo and use of hi-tech CNC equipment like laser cutters, 3D printers and the like.
Last year more than 400 projects were on display including also large scale electronic interactive installations created in collaboration with local professionals.
A National product design competition will see teams from schools compete for the best innovative concepts and prototype. The D&T Expo will feature only for students only on Friday morning, including the D&T challenges, and for the general public thereafter.
