Free Shuttle Service
During the MRO a free shuttle service will be operated. The shuttle bus will stop at:
- US Embassy Car Park
- BOV Adventure Park Car Park
- Millenium Stand Bus Stop
- MRO Main Entrance
Free Childminding Services
The MRO is offering a free childminding service at the event. Infants and toddlers will be entertained by certified childminders leaving older brothers, sisters and parents free to enjoy the multitude of hands-on workshops at the event. (The child minding service is marked on the plan as CM)
As the main and first event ever created for the first MRO this competition is reserved for secondary school students in Form 1,2,3,4 & 5. The winners will represent Malta in the Intl. Lego Sumo Challenge,
D&T Expo brings a ‘maker’ aspect to the MRO where the public is also invited to try out interactive practical activities along with demo and use of hi-tech CNC equipment like laser cutters, 3D printers and the like.
The D&T Expo at the MRO this year is inviting participants to submit their own Do-it-yourself Robot for the MRO2018 newest challenge, the DIY-BOTS: The Robot Design and Make Kid's Challenge!
This year, the MRO will further promote programming by organising a JAVA Hackathon type of contest. A 4-hour coding challenge featuring 5 JAVA challenges that put SEC Computing students’ problem solving / coding skills to the test.
Malta Jnr LEGO® League is a STEM education program designed for young children aged 8 to 11 (year 4 to year 6). Teams made up of to 6 members will be guided by an adult mentor to explore and research a real-world problem related to the theme ‘Our Environment’.
